I first chose a background photo and then photographed myself outside to match the lighting conditions in the background photo that I chose earlier. I then used the magnetic lasso tool in Photoshop to outline myself and move that selection onto my background. I then used layer masks and an image of crumpled paper to make my skin textured. I then used the blood splatter and scar brushes that I downloaded to add more details to the image. Then I used the paintbrush tool and the blend modes to create the shadow behind me.
